Why Replace FATMAP with Whympr?
Because it’s an app born in Chamonix—but that’s not the only reason! Whympr is the app that gathers all the essential information for planning and sharing your mountain and outdoor trips. It offers a multitude of features, including 3D mapping, perfect for hikers, ski tourers, climbers, and mountaineers. You’ll find more than 100,000 routes and points of interest, as well as the ability to create and view your own tracks.
Whympr also offers over 11 map layers, including IGN, swisstopo, open topo map, and Italian maps. We even have a new route creation tool available with our Outdoor Pack subscription.
The app works offline, which is convenient when you’re without network coverage. Plus, it gives you access to weather updates in partnership with meteoblue and daily avalanche bulletins from official institutions. With filters, you can choose your activity based on your level and location, and you can also purchase professional guidebooks with digitized route descriptions created by expert guides.
Whympr also implements filters to protect wildlife during your outings while allowing you to join a community of enthusiasts who share trip conditions. And the best part? All of this is available for just €24.99 per year. Who can top that? 🙏
